One of the biggest sources behind these blind items is Instagram user DeuxMoi — who is basically the real-life Gossip Girl. The anonymous Instagram account posts riddles that comes from various sources.

The first known celebrity blind item was published in 1892 by journalist Louella Parsons. Parsons was famous for her “Hollywood Exclusive” column in the Los Angeles Examiner where she often published information about upcoming movies and actors in the industry to build hype.

She said in a clip: “For those of you who don't know, blind items are essentially alleged insider information about celebrities that is leaked by the people closest to them.
